I found this book by Natalie Obando when I was looking for some help with reaching out to movie producers. I thought a publicist could help me with that. What I found in this little book was of much more value, though.
In a few simple steps or chapters, Ms Obando is giving advice on how to create a brand name, how to reach out to the right people, how to build a solid social media platform and how to draw the most possible attention to yourself as an author as well as to your books. She shows what mistakes you should avoid and how you will be able to make an impact with your writing even before the book is being released.
I bought this book a few months ago and have read it multiple times since, because there’s so much information in it that you can’t absorb it all at the first go. Each time I read this “how to”, I found more information that I missed the first time.
I recommend this to everyone who’s truly striving to become a bestselling author and who is willing to do a big part of the promotion for their books themselves. You can only profit from Ms Obando’s knowledge of the market.
Thought it was going to be more useful advice.
Great I got some new ides from it, i will be trying them out soon.
Obando hits the highlights, but she doesn't give much in the way of detailed recommendations that authors can dig into. There are many better sources where writers can expand on their marketing skills.
